FREEHOLD – A former resident of Keansburg is now facing charges for the sexual assault of a minor that took place over 20 years ago, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Thursday.
Robert L. Wisiak, 44, of South River, was arrested by members of the Keansburg Police Department on Friday, October 20, 2023, on charges of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Minor and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
An investigation revealed that the sexual assaults between Wisiak and the victim, who was a minor under the age of 13 at the time, took place on multiple occasions between the years of 1999-2001.

Convictions of this nature are commonly punishable by terms of up to 20 years in a state prison, along with being subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law registration and Parole Supervision for Life.
The case is assigned to Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie Dugan. Wisiak’s legal representation was not immediately available.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
