FREEHOLD –   A Monmouth County Grand Jury returned a three-count indictment against a Manasquan-based physical therapist today for events surrounding illegal sexual contact with two former employees, announced Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.

Lukas I. DeLorenzo, 36, of Neptune Township, was indicted on three counts of fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact based on inappropriate sexual touching of two victims over a period of time beginning around September 2019. The investigation was conducted jointly by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) Special Victims Bureau, Manasquan Police Department, and Brielle Police Department.

The charges stem from incidents where DeLorenzo, under the guise of teaching treatment methods, would inappropriately touch and grope these employees, both at his office in Manasquan and in another location in Brielle.

If convicted of Sexual Contact, DeLorenzo faces a sentence on each count of up to 18 months in state prison.

The case is assigned to Assistant Prosecutor Nicole Wallace.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
