FREEHOLD – A female pedestrian has died as the result of a collision with a motor vehicle Thursday evening in Aberdeen, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Daniel Harning, 84, of Parlin, was driving a 2016 Kia Cadenza southbound on State Highway 35 approaching Cliffwood Avenue when his vehicle collided with pedestrian Christine Bowles, 35 of Keansburg, at approximately 6:33 p.m.
Bowles was taken to Bayshore Hospital where she was pronounced deceased at 7:02 p.m.
Harning and a passenger did not sustain any injuries during the collision.
No motor vehicle summonses were issued pending investigation.
The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Aberdeen Police Department and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
