FREEHOLD – A Manalapan man was arrested for distribution of child sexual assault images, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Eton Ronberg, 49, of Canvasback Road in Manalapan was charged with one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Pornography and one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography.
After a month long investigation into an individual distributing child sexual assault images in Manalapan, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and New Jersey State Police Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force arrested Eton Ronberg for the distribution of child pornography. On August 23, 2019, Ronberg was arrested at his place of employment and charged with second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of Child Pornography and one count third degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Possession of Child Pornography.
On August 24, 2019, Ronberg appeared for his First Appearance and was released on Pre-Trial Services pending the resolution of these charges.
If convicted of second degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child for Distribution of child pornography, Ronberg faces up to 10 years New Jersey State Prison, Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life.
The case is assigned to Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Stephanie Dugan.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
