Killer of 19-year old Andre Thorne Remains At-Large

FREEHOLD – It is has been three years since a Bradley Beach man was shot while sitting in his vehicle in Neptune Township and authorities from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Neptune Township Police are still urging anyone with information to come forward, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.

On February 8, 2016, the Neptune Township Police Department responded to 1306 7th Avenue, Neptune Township on a report of a shooting. Officers found Andre Thorne, 19, of Bradley Beach, in the driver’s seat of a 2002 red Dodge Neon suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.   Thorne was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he would later be pronounced deceased, less than a month shy of his 20th birthday. It was discovered that Thorne was sitting in the car with two others at the time of the shooting.

A joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Neptune Township Police Department is still active and ongoing but, despite significant effort, has been unable to identify the person or persons responsible for the shooting of Thorne.
