FREEHOLD – The discovery of an 18-year old murder victim in 1965 has now found resolution after investigators linked DNA and corroborative evidence to Robert Zarinsky. A cooperative effort between the New Jersey State Police Major Crime Unit and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office recently breathed new life into a 50-year-old murder investigation. New evidence revealed that Zarinsky, a convicted killer who carried out several murderous deeds across the region during the 1960s, committed the homicide and sexual assault of Mary Agnes Klinsky. If Robert Zarinsky were alive today, he would be prosecuted for the homicide and sexual assault against Klinsky, announced Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
