FREEHOLD – A local golf instructor has been charged with inappropriately touching one of his students, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago and Little Silver Police Chief Paul Halpin jointly announced Thursday.
Paul Kaster, 46, of Red Bank is charged with third-degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact.
An investigation by members of the MCPO Special Victims Bureau and the Little Silver Police Department revealed that the incident took place earlier this month at Kaster’s training center on Oceanport Avenue in Little Silver. The victim, an adult female under the age of 21, was meditating during a golf training session when Kaster reportedly touched her inappropriately.

Kaster was arrested without incident earlier this week.

This case has been assigned to Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutors Keri Schaefer and Ashley Behre. Information regarding Kaster’s legal representation was not immediately available.
Convictions on charges of this nature can be punishable by up to five years in state prison.
Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendants have all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
