FREEHOLD – A Monmouth County Grand Jury returned a 6-count indictment Monday charging an Asbury Park man for his role in an exchange of gunfire with a city police office in November. The incident resulted in a juvenile bystander being injured, announced Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Dante Allen, 20, is facing charges of first degree Attempted Murder, second degree Unlawful Possession of a weapon, second degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, fourth degree Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, third degree Receiving Stolen
Property, and third degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (Cocaine).
